This Privacy Policy describes how SKAA ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the SKAA mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text).

Student/Child Information
For Parent/Student accounts, we collect information about the child(ren) enrolled, including: name, date of birth, enrollment and progress records, evaluation history, and practice logs (including photos and videos you choose to upload of practice sessions).

Teacher/Trainer Information
For Teacher and Trainer accounts, we collect name, email, assigned location(s), and account approval status.

Content You Upload
Photos and videos submitted through the practice log or training reference features are stored securely and are only visible to authorized users (the child's own parent, assigned Trainers/Teachers at the relevant location, and Admin) as described in Section 3.

Automatically Collected Information
We may collect basic technical information such as device type and app usage to help us maintain and improve the App.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the App's core features (enrollment, progress tracking, practice logs, evaluations)
• Communicate with you (e.g., password reset codes, sign-up confirmation codes)
• Maintain the security and integrity of accounts and data
• Improve the App over time

We do not sell your information or your child's information to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who Can See Your Information

Access to information within the App is restricted by role:

• Parents can see their own child(ren)'s information only.
• Trainers/Teachers can see information for students at their assigned location(s) only, once their account has been approved by an Admin.
• Admins can see all information as needed to operate the institute.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — database hosting and user authentication
• Cloudflare (R2) — secure storage of uploaded photos and videos
• Resend — sending transactional emails (password reset codes, sign-up confirmation codes)

These providers do not have independent rights to use your data for their own purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for use by parents/guardians on behalf of their children, and by the dance institute's staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental involvement — all student accounts and information are managed through a parent or guardian's account. Parents can review, update, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us (see Section 8).

6. Data Retention

We retain account and student information for as long as the account remains active with the institute. Practice log photos/videos may be periodically removed as part of routine storage management, independent of the underlying practice record.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted storage, role-based access controls, and secure authentication, to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your (or your child's) information at any time by contacting us at:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or via email.
